A track from 'Ahead of Time'
From the very start, the album shows us its cards and the blends it wants to pull off, and it seems to have come to take us on a journey with 14 songs, though that number shouldn't scare us off. In a mix of styles and sounds, this work sometimes livens us up and sometimes darkens the mood, with plenty of effects, rhythms and downtempo melodies, bringing to the surface elements from pop and rock all the way to jazz and funk.
With all this in mind, 'Ahead Of Time' certainly speaks to an open-minded and broad audience, without the band itself slapping labels on anything. This trio seems to focus on atmosphere, blending musics and eras, since we can spot elements strongly and clearly influenced by the 80s and 90s, poured in with hard work and love. So, against all commercialization, they don't watch the industry's pulse, but rather pure love and devotion to their craft.
