The Thee Holy Strangers return to the stage strong and refreshed, shortly after the release of their new album, "Diary Of The Shadow” to present it live at Κύτταρο, on Friday, October 21st. The night will be opened by Eliana One Woman Band.

A collaboration of well-known musicians

The Thee Holy Strangers started out in late 2013 as a collaboration of well-known musicians, driven by the songs and images of the city they wanted to portray. Their gigs are always a reference point for the Greek alternative scene, with rock 'n' roll, "dark" americana, soul and urban blues blending together in their sound in a totally unique way.

Thee Holy Strangers are: Flora Ioannidi: Vocals, Alexis Kalofolias (Alex K): Vocals, guitar, Kostas Chrysogelos: Drums, percussion. New members of the band are Andreas Lagios (Nightstalker) on bass and Kleon Antoniou (Mode Plagal) on guitar.

Joining them will be Κωστής Ζουλιάτης (Night on Earth, Τα Ριζά) on keyboards.

The “Diary Of The Shadow” arrives 6 years after their eponymous debut album and contains seven original compositions. Drawing from the inexhaustible well of rock'n'roll, soul and folk, they craft songs for today that speak of resignation and resilience, darkness and light, sorrow and hope. The album has already received excellent reviews and is being called one of the most interesting albums of the year.

Opening Act: Eliana One Woman Band

Ελιάνα Νικολοπούλου is a musician-songwriter. She mostly moves in acoustic blues and folk sounds with English-language lyrics. Her one woman band project started in 2017. So far she has released 2 albums, the first titled ‘Sweet Fellow”, in 2017 and the second titled “Prison for Human Souls”, in 2021.

The project combines intense, sharp political lyrics with raw, atmospheric acoustic musical elements. Her sound, deeply influenced by acoustic blues and folk music, creates a warm yet at the same time primal sound. Her playing focuses on stripped-down musical forms and musical shadings, bringing out the power of the lyrics and the voice.
