The Aussies unveiled a new video for the self-titled track from their album, titled 'Strange, Strange Times’.
Hailing from Melbourne, Australia, the band operates within the spectrum of the alternative rock scene. Following their partnership with Napalm Records, they announced on August 13, 2021 their album 'Strange Strange Times'.
An excellent blend of different musical genres
'The Ugly Kings' give us, through the video, a little teaser of their sound. A blend of dark power blues, raw punk and metal rock characterizes their music. Queens Of The Stone Age and The White Stripes are among their influences. Yet they retain an intense melodicism and an addictive riffage.
'Strange, Strange Times' is truly in the red zone! A dark track with great dynamics and a lot of intensity. On the other hand, the band's frontman, Russell Clark, gives the track a very different style. His melodic lines bring Jim Morrison to mind.
We look forward with great interest to hearing the band's full album as well!
