The Coalminer's Grandson – 'Curse Of The Desert Rains'

With the sole aim of expressing his timeless love for western, country & folk music, the The Coalminer's Grandson (Akis Kosmidis) is releasing a series of instrumental tracks, the first of which is titled 'Curse Of The Desert Rains'. The aim of these songs is a journey to faraway places, full of images, sounds & feelings, within a world where everything is steeped in the smell of cheap whiskey.

With the scent of the Wild West

For those of us who know him on a personal level, Akis is known for his great love of western folk music. His involvement in Redeye Caravan reveals this in the best possible way. With this new project (and after quite a few nudges from us to get him making his own tracks in this style), he's finally stepping onto a new road to chase after his love. A dusty road that runs through the bars and saloons of the Wild West. 

There, then, under the starry sky, he comes to present us the melody of his new track. Relax, grab your drink and let yourself be carried away into the wild beauty of the American landscape. And believe us… It doesn't even cost a handful of dollars! For our part, we can't wait for what comes next and hope this is just the first of many new tracks he'll be presenting us.
