A few words about the band

The debut album of Para Lia «Soap Bubble Dreams» (2019) received immediate coverage from the global press and was featured in more than 20 magazines, webzines and numerous blogs, all of which unanimously praised the album. Songs from the album continue to enjoy radio airplay all over the world, with approximately 132 stations having added them to their playlists.

Compared to a host of artists and acts such as: J Mascis, The Cure, Phillip Boa and the Voodoo Club, Arcade Fire, The Mission, The Last Shadow Puppets, Sebadoh and The Editors, who are Para Lia?…. Quite simply, the band is René Methner (songwriter, vocals, guitars, bass, keys, drum programming) and Cindy Methner (vocals).

The sound of Para Lia combines melody and atmosphere with the heartbeat pulsing through René's guitar. Drawing inspiration from various genres, as well as from older generations of music, their sound always retains its alternative indie rock character and blends it with the best retro elements plus a hefty dose of freshness and originality. Para Lia would be nothing, though, without their great, ethereal vocal lines. René's vocals stand at the forefront, bolstered by the backing and grandeur of Cindy's voice.
