A few words about Ρόδα
The Μαύρα Ρόδα is a Greek-language hard rock band formed in 2014. Influenced by the atmospheric and electrified riffs of previous decades (mainly from abroad), the band has taken on the difficult challenge of successfully "marrying" these sounds with Greek lyrics. Lyrics that are structured, free of empty rhetoric and "lofty meanings," but aimed at taking the listener on a journey or making them think, with a focus on social (not political) issues.
The outfit moves along darker lyrical paths, talking about addictions (Δαίδαλος, Το Αντίδοτο), about loneliness, paranoia and introversion through allegories (Κλόουν), unfulfilled loves (Μόνος Στον Ουρανό), but also about the people who go abroad to chase a better fate (Φυγή).
