Trivial Dimes and Victory in Rio managed to give us a night full of memories!
Victory in Rio, straight out of the good old days!
The truth is we don't get to see Victory on stage often, and that's something that bums us out! On the other hand, there was no way we were going to miss one of the few chances they give us to enjoy them. As the night kicked off, the musical trio showed their intentions early on! Presenting tracks from their debut album titled 'Bronco', along with one more track that was a brand new composition, they managed to remind us of the reasons why we love them so much.
The musical quality of Victory is a given! Their energy and the way they manage to sweep us along is genuinely peculiar. There wasn't a single second where we didn't want to move to the rhythm of their music. My personal favourite moment was, without a doubt, the track I personally single out from their record, none other than 'Kessler Syndrome'. Special mention should also go to the brand new track, which, from what I heard, they composed in a matter of minutes and were playing live for only the third time (with the first two being at rehearsal). All this makes all of us hope that we'll soon have the successor to 'Bronco', as well as more chances to see them on stage.
Trivial Dimes: Presenting their album!
The main course of the night was Trivial Dimes. The band presented their entire album, titled 'Point of View', giving us the chance to hear it in full. That listen was enough to make us recognise that this is a band that knows exactly what it wants to show us. Their sound was full-bodied and their compositions were extremely interesting. They're able to combine many different musical elements, and that makes their tracks very distinct! Leaving, I had the excellent 'Wall of Sound' stuck in my ears, a very special song that left me with the best impressions.
Having caught the band once before in the past, I can say with great confidence that this time their performance showed great confidence and drive. 'Point of View' contains many musically interesting tracks and will definitely have you hitting repeat. We can't wait for the next time we get to see the band on stage, and we hope they treat us to their next compositions soon!
