On an excellent night, Fuzzy Hound found itself among the lucky ones who caught the live show of Lazy Man's Load with Bent By Sorrow and Sebia. All of this at the blazing Piraeus Academy Club.
Excellent music
There are moments when one decides to attend a concert strictly based on their musical cravings. It's good, though, to try and broaden our horizons, so we can take in other stimuli too. Plenty of these concerts you shouldn't miss, based purely on the musical quality on offer. But when the two things line up, you're simply living a supreme musical experience! And that's pretty much how this particular live show went, bringing together three excellent bands with the sole purpose of shaking up our night!
There are concerts that your very being refuses to miss...
With the night kicking off with Sebia, it became clear to all of us what was to follow. With the band moving in Hard Rock rhythms and with excellent energy, they managed to warm up the crowd's engines in anticipation of what was to come. Being our first contact with these guys' live performance, we can only have good impressions and be looking forward to their next appearance. Among their strong points was definitely their meaty sound.

With the crowd now warmed up and in on it, next up on stage were Bent By Sorrow. Music with tremendous groove and a sound that breaks away from the style of the other bands we watched, without this being something that bothers us (quite the opposite, it spices up the interest of the night!). Bent were mentally ready to deliver their musical message to us and in the end that's exactly what they did. During their set, they played a mix of new and older tracks of theirs, making us nostalgic and eager for the future at the same time.
When it came time for mister Lazy Man
With the night drawing to a close, Lazy Man's Load took on the tough job of keeping things at the same level as the previous acts. And boy, did they rise up to the challenge! Drawing on the stories of the persona they represent, the band managed to give us tracks (old and new, from their unreleased record) with a really powerful sound. Their stories, dark and full of atmosphere. Lazy Man's managed, with tremendous energy, to initiate us into a cult and into the mysticism of their inner world. For as long as they played, the crowd was moving to their rhythm. As the set closed, there was a feeling of satisfaction, but also of impatience to catch their next live show as soon as humanly possible. Now we can't wait for their appearance on July 7th at Rockwave Festival 2023.
