Live Report: Dead Sidewalkers live @ Underground
We caught the Dead Sidewalkers gig at Underground Studio, on June 19th. The alternative rock band gave it their all on stage! On June 19th the stage of Underground Music Studio in Peristeri shook to the sounds of alternative / garage rock music.

The Dead Sidewalkers managed to win over the crowd with a powerful performance.

Waiting on the album
After an intense two years full of cancellations, the Athens-based band gave their first live show. All this right after the release of their album, titled 'Ahead', which came out on May 23rd. And while the night was also set to host Trailer Park Girl from Patras, due to unforeseen circumstances we only got to enjoy the Sidewalkers in the end. This was by no means a letdown. In their setlist, which covered about an hour, they managed to give us hands-on proof of their dynamism.

The sound during the gig was very clean, which allowed the band to unfold every facet of themselves. Dead Sidewalkers are marked by tremendous dynamism, and their style carries elements of old, traditional British punk. Their stage presence was tremendous. Their sound was full and "meaty," while their musical patterns had you moving to their rhythm.
A performance that leaves plenty of promise for the future
This was also my first contact with the band as far as live shows go. I left Underground with the melodies stuck in my head. Melodies I kept replaying in my mind the whole way back. And in the end, that's the band's greatest achievement. The fact that, playing simple music with a lot of dynamics, they manage to make it stick with you and get you to listen to it again and again! So, looking forward to their next show, which I expect will give me the same feelings...
