Friday, and the Temple Athens (Facebook, Instagram) was filling up with dynamic melodies. On stage, in a meeting point of Glam Rock with an Indie / Alternative character, the Middle Earth, the Popscene and the Bad Habits gave it their absolute best.
Middle Earth

With the venue already packed to bursting, the night kicked off with Middle Earth. Their style was intense, dynamic, and Glam / Hard Rock through and through. The band is made up of members / personas that genuinely catch your eye. With stylistic choices straight out of the wardrobe of Motley Crue and W.A.S.P., Earth really managed to get the crowd fired up. Musically, they served up tracks with real character, pulled straight out of the 90s, and watching the stage, you'd think you were watching Rock of Ages or Dirt! These are rockers who truly live it! It was definitely one of the night's nicest surprises and made us put them straight on the Λαγωνικό's radar.

Popscene

The band from the co-capital veered a bit in style and vibe from the other two. I'll admit that before the show, I'd only heard bits and pieces of their tracks, which didn't prepare me in the slightest for what I was about to witness. With a sound carrying Funk, Alternative and Indie elements, they had Temple moving to their rhythm. The way this outfit approaches its sound is impressive. It's not just about delivering some songs, but a genuine emotional outpouring from the five members. With the rhythm shifting constantly, the guitar totally dynamic, keys and bass holding the songs together, and Menis's distinctive voice, the songs of Popscene make for an irresistible musical combination.
Among the strongly positive elements was the chemistry between the members, as well as the excellent 'flow' their songs had. They're well worth hearing and seeing live.

Bad Habits

Getting to the last act of the night, Bad Habits took the stage with one and only goal in mind: to tear it up! And boy, did they live up to our expectations! The band showed its intentions from the very first minute. With epic stage diving and a performance straight out of the hard rock and glam eras, they served up tracks that nail themselves into your head and that you'll be singing for a long time after. My personal favourite was their now well-known 'Bad Luck'. Proving just how well they click with Popscene, they managed to play a track together as one unit and gave the crowd some wonderful moments. All in all, it was a "full" performance from Bad Habits that left us completely satisfied, but impatient for the next time we get to see them on stage. The Habits are the bad habit and the sinful pleasure that we all know and that nobody wants to quit! 'Till the next time! Keep on Rocking!
