Lazytrains: New single titled 'Ain't this kind of Woman'

After all, this genre of music is the starting point for all the branches of more recent rock music. And that's where the Lazytrainscome into the picture! The band unveiled the second single off their upcoming record, titled 'Ain't this kind of Woman’.

A band with some serious milestones ahead of it

The Lazytrains aren't newcomers. They've got a solid track record on the Greek blues scene, with plenty of live shows under their belt. But the biggest things are still ahead. Specifically, the band will take part in the Blues Challenge 2022, organised by the European Blues Union in Malmo, Sweden, representing Greece. Before the competition, though, we're expecting their full-length album to drop in November.

What we've heard from the album so far is extremely promising! Their first single, titled 'I don't need no money', made a really good impression. It combines a classic blues sound with electro swing elements. The sound of the Lazytrains is fairly classic. Their rhythms are pretty interesting and the sound is slightly overdriven (distorted), but clean overall. It comes from a variety of instruments, including a lap steel guitar (how bluesy is that!). The music as a whole creates a gorgeous backdrop for the vocals. And speaking of vocals, Maria has a tone characteristic of southern blues, which gives the songs a whole different feel.

I'd also like to give a special mention to the song's video clip. I'm particularly impressed by the casual vibe and especially the bits from older videos of the members. All of this makes the video feel more down-to-earth!

'Ain't this kind of Woman' is the second single off their upcoming record. The song talks about a woman's inner strength and the fight she puts up to keep her integrity intact. And that comes through in the very pointed video too. We feel like we're right there in this makeshift interrogation, which, in the end, doesn't turn out so well for the interrogators!

Still dreaming

The Lazytrains are romantics! They want to go against the dictates of the modern age. And that's why they keep on playing music and dreaming of a world where money doesn't buy happiness.
