On a night full of excellent melodies, Jon Voyager and Victory in Rio took to the stage of Piraeus Club Academy (Facebook). All this as part of the presentation of the album by Jon Voyager titled Monsters.
Victory in Rio found themselves back on stage, leaving us with promises for the future!
The night kicked off with the amazing Victory in Rio. For those who don't know them, we should point out that this is an alternative rock trio, and quite talented at that! Their songs carry a hefty dose of old school elements with one single goal in mind: to get you moving to their rhythm. Victory are a textbook example that simple music has an unmatched purity to it. The band doesn't try to be something it isn't.
A triptych of excellent rhythms, a formidable musical depth given by the bass, and guitar parts that recall percussion (together, of course, with the singer's vocals) create a whole that stays etched in your mind.
With a long stretch having passed since Bronco, their debut album, the one thing that was certain was that the audience was dying to know if a new album was in the works. And the guys gave us a taste of Bronco's successor. All we can hope for on our end is that it arrives soon!

Jon Voyager were a wildcard surprise for Λαγωνικό!
Before the album presentation, we'd listened to the tracks to have some kind of connection going in. Even so, the stage presence and delivery left us speechless. This particular live show became the starting point of our acquaintance with the band, an acquaintance we'll definitely be keeping up, as the guys left us with the best possible impressions.
Jon Voyager is a band with character. Beyond the fact that the lead persona, Giannis, plays the central role, all the members are excellent and highly expressive! Their music is made to take you on a journey. In fact, if there's one thing worth underlining, it's the promise they made right from the start of their performance, which was none other than to bring us along on an excellent musical journey. A journey the guys themselves took part in as well. All of this on the blazing stage of Piraeus Academy Club. The one thing that's certain is that Monsters left us with the best impressions, and the band's stage presence has put them firmly on our radar! We can't wait for the next journeys!
