About the track
Ανάγκη is a whiny song. It talks about a love-hate relationship, about the paradox of being head over heels for someone and at the same time wanting to strangle your partner. It's the art of staying up all night under balconies and making a fool of yourself in front of neighbours and passers-by. Back when I used to chicken out of expressing my feelings straight up, I'd write a song and everything was fine. Ανάγκη is one of those songs. Can't wait to sing it together, both on and off stage.
About the artist
Ο Harry Huta is a singer/songwriter. Born in Athens, he lived in Athens and later in Manchester. He's been musically active for over a decade, taking part in various bands on the rock scene as a frontman, guitarist and composer. In 2020 he wrote the soundtrack for the film Μιά Ζωή, directed by Ντίνος Γιώτης. He made his solo debut in the summer of 2021 with the EP Ημιδιαμονή.
His vision is to blend 'dirty' guitars with experimental sounds, and to explore new musical paths through forms of the past. He draws influences from the '90s scene (Διάφανα Κρίνα, Ξύλινα Σπαθιά, Ενδελέχεια), the fathers of Greek rock (Πουλικάκος, Σιδηρόπουλος, Μουσικές Ταξιαρχίες), Ζαμπέτας, Μάνος Χατζιδάκις and countless other Greek and non-Greek creators.
