By Dimitris (Bari) Polyzois

The band from Ohio released their first, self-titled mini album, which contains their first 4 tracks. The band is a straight-up rock n roll punch to the face. The guitar riffs, the powerful bass sounds and the piercing drums make this trio something that needs to be talked about!
Strong elements from American music
With the band being one of the newer discoveries of Fuzzy Hound, the trio from America is here to put its name among the talented bands out there right now. They combine many different elements. From a first listen, one can already make out, even in this first sample, elements of alternative, garage and grunge rock. Simplicity in the sound, guitars that 'shred' sonically, and melodies that get stuck in your head.

Dynamo Fuzz Dynamo Fuzz are a combination that sums up the whole of classic American music. There are tracks like 'Black Water', which while having a strong grunge character on one hand, also has a central riff that strongly evokes Led Zeppelin. On the other hand, we have 'Wait and See' which leans more towards garage and college rock. And then there's 'Say It To Me' which balances between grunge and stoner / hard rock. This first EP combines it all with great balance.

Editor's Choice: 'Say It To Me'
With 'Say It To Me' and 'Black Water' standing out, Fuzzy Hound's Fuzzy Hound pick ends up being the first one. 'Say It To Me' is a track that, sound-wise, touches on stoner rock style. All of this holds up until the point we hear the vocals. With a huge influence from Kurt Cobain's style, the song swings back towards grunge. The result bridges two mismatched genres and it's impressive.
In conclusion
Dynamo Fuzz Dynamo Fuzz have some very interesting elements in their music. While moving within the alternative style, they add plenty of musical touches from different genres, giving the tracks extra character. Placing their name pretty high among the up-and-coming bands, they're worth keeping on our radar for the future, as we wait for their first full album.
