The complete recordings of the Australian progressive rock band Fraternity from the '70s will be released in a special remastered edition later this month. AC/DC singer Bon Scott was a member of the band.
The set will be titled «Seasons of Change – The Complete Recordings, 1970-1974. It was put together by Adelaide advertiser and historian Victor Marshall in collaboration with the band's surviving members and their manager Hamish Henry.
It's expected to be released on January 22 via Cherry Red Records. The set includes the band's two original albums – "Livestock" and "Flaming Galah" – along with their singles. All of it will be remastered from Henry's original tapes. Both feature Scott on lead vocals.
Also included is an entire album previously released, titled «Second Chance». That album also features vocal and songwriting contributions from Scott. The singer was Fraternity's main vocalist between 1971-1973. He then went on to join AC/DC on vocals the following year, until his death in 1980.
"It was a dream come true to work with one of Australia's most important pioneering rock bands," Marshall commented in a statement. The historian found the lost recordings while conducting interviews for an upcoming biography he's written about the band.
"This project could never have happened without the band's generosity. All the members, Bruce Howe, John Freeman, John Bisset, Sam See, Mauri Berg, Uncle John Eyers & Tony Buettel, as well as the band's original manager Hamish Henry, were a huge help. I hope all the members of Fraternity finally get the recognition they deserve."

Fraternity formed in Sydney, Australia in 1970. The following year they relocated to Adelaide, South Australia, and released their debut album «Livestock». The follow-up, «Flaming Galah», came out in 1972.
The band went through various lineups and names during their time, including Fang and Some Dream, and briefly included Cold Chisel frontman Jimmy Barnes. Under their final frontman, Mickey Finn, the group disbanded in 1981.
