Amsterdam’s Altın Gün return to Greece for two shows behind new album “Garip” — a tribute to Neşet Ertaş — bringing Anatolian psychedelia, funk and rock.

Altın Gün, the Amsterdam band who reintroduced the sound of Anatolia to an international audience, return to Greece for two shows in November.
Starting from the legacy of 70s Anatolian psychedelia — Barış Manço, Erkin Koray — they built a contemporary sound of their own that bridges decades and cultures. From the fuzz guitars and analogue keys of their early records they moved into more electronic, dreamlike territory, without ever leaving those roots behind.
2026 finds them with a fifth album, “Garip”, a tribute to the legendary Turkish folk songwriter and bağlama master Neşet Ertaş. Across nine of his songs, Anatolian melodies meet funk rhythms, psychedelic guitars, strings and synth textures. Central to it is Erdinç Ecevit, who grew up listening to Ertaş.
Their shows are known as an explosive mix of dance energy, psychedelic atmosphere and grooves that turn every appearance into a collective celebration.
