2nd Greek Dungeon Synth Festival | 06.11.2026 | An Club
Greece’s second Dungeon Synth Festival returns to An Club on Friday 6 November with five projects from Greece, Italy and the Basque Country — including what the promoters bill as Arthuros’s first-ever live show.
By Dimitris (Bari) Polyzois
After last year’s first Greek Dungeon Synth Festival in Athens and Thessaloniki, Dale of Shadows returns with a second edition titled “The Siege Of Athens”. This year’s bill brings two artists from abroad and, according to the promoters, the first live appearance of a name that carries real weight in the scene.
The line-up
Arcana Liturgia (Italy) — one of the scene’s pioneering projects, with early work dating back to 1997–1999. The creation of Lord of Time, it combines dark medieval synth with strong theatrical elements.
Arthuros — active since 2015, first as Ekthelion and from 2019 as Arthuros, working in more cinematic and introspective territory. Albums including Ithildin, Kosmos, Goddess, Ultraromance, Astraláe and Travelstar have made him a distinctive voice in international dungeon and fantasy synth. He also founded Mournful Moon. The promoters say these will be his first live shows.
Budrum — only two years into her run, with a substantial release and live record already. Working with keyboards and vocals, she draws on the old-school dungeon synth scene and on Greek and Balkan folk. This year’s set leans further into black synth, backed by the drummer from Likno.
Lord Bakartia (Basque Country) — the second international guest, playing old-school Dungeon Synth that blends dark ambient with a classical sound.
Mythraen — a fantasy/dungeon synth project based in Thessaly, drawing on classic fantasy literature and mythic tradition, with two releases to date and black metal influence from Summoning.
