Mechanimal – “15”: their seventh album, and Inner Ear’s 300th release
“15” is Mechanimal’s seventh album and, at the same time, Inner Ear’s 300th release. A record about the point where noise stops being noise.
By Dimitris (Bari) Polyzois

“15” is Mechanimal’s seventh album, and it marks a milestone for Inner Ear: it is the label’s 300th release.
The title is a point somewhere between Vyronas and Glyfada — an anonymous dot on the map of the city, where the band’s first frequencies once began to vibrate. As the release puts it: beneath broken pavements, layers of asphalt, forgotten trolley lines and telephone cable, a hum stayed open for weeks.
“15”, they say, is the point where noise stops being noise and reveals what it was hiding underneath — chaos; not as destruction, but as the moment reality appears unfiltered. “Most people think silence comes after the noise,” the band say. “We found chaos. ‘15’ is the distance between the two.”
