“Vile Wonders” is their third studio album and it's their tightest work to date.
The first single “Arcadia” dropped last June and made quite the impression, while last October it was “She's in Sparkles”' turn, confirming that Steams are ready for the next chapter of their story: more mature, more vulnerable, and more honest than ever. It's no coincidence that with the second single, the band also unveiled their first official video clip, directed by their guitarist Andreas Kokovikas. Shot on a miniDV camera during their first European tour, the video works like a cinematic keepsake – a blurry diary of moments and the open road.
“Vile Wonders” comes out on all digital platforms on November 25, and will later be available on vinyl via Made of Stone Recordings.
Steams are a psych rock band from Athens. In 2018 they released their debut album “Wild Ferment” and set off on a journey that took them through numerous tours, 2 sold-out vinyl pressings and a whole range of domestic festivals. In June 2022 they released their second album “Mild Conquest”, a modern tragedy that stretches their sound beyond the boundaries of “classic” rock, marrying traditional instruments, polyphonies and storytelling with groovy rhythms, hulking guitars and Dionysian outbursts. They have shared the stage with The Cure, The Black Angels, Peter Murphy (Bauhaus), Khruangbin, Lumerians and more.
