Kwoon | 11.11.2026 | An Club
French rock/post-rock act Kwoon, led by Sandy Lavallart, return to Athens for the first time in 14 years — with a full band and as headliners — at An Club. Church of the Sea open.

Kwoon, the rock/post-rock project led by Sandy Lavallart, play An Club on Wednesday 11 November. It is their first Athens show in 14 years, and their first as headliners with a full band.
Last time round they played alongside Mogwai, two years after an appearance with Piano Magic.
Lavallart arrives off the back of a run of unusual solo ventures — sending his guitar into the stratosphere at 31,000 metres, playing alone on a peak overlooking Mont Blanc at 3,900 metres, at the Tévennec lighthouse out in the ocean, and on active volcanoes. Out of that came “Odyssey”, a travel diary in musical form, which the band places somewhere near Pink Floyd, Archive, Arcade Fire, Mogwai and Radiohead.
Church of the Sea
Opening are Church of the Sea, formed in 2017 to marry doom with dark electronic rock. Their debut EP “Anywhere but Desert” (2018) was recorded at Artracks and Suono Studios, produced by Alexis Bolpasis and mastered by Chris Common. The album “Odalisque” followed in 2022, and in 2025 the single and video “Eva” — a retelling of Genesis in which Eve is not the sinner seeking knowledge but a rebel embracing the forbidden.
They have played Happening Now, Cult of the Amps, Templefest and Wail of the Banshees, sold out St. Paul’s Anglican Church twice, and opened for Antimatter, The Murder Capital, Messa, Soen, Dool, Wolvennest and Ponte del Diavolo.
