The long-awaited new album from Queens of the Stone Age, “Perfecth”, is out on Matador Records.
Across nine songs balanced between introspection and explosive force, the band present a record that is bold and deeply personal, where love, loss and reassembly each find a different musical expression.
Produced by Josh Homme and bandmate Michael Shuman, “Perfecth” took its inspiration from Kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken ceramics with gold. In Kintsugi the cracks are not flaws to be hidden but part of an object’s history — something that, through its repair, becomes more beautiful still.
