Krotalias – “Enos Leptou Sigi” | 07.11.2026 | An Club
Krotalias launch their third record at An Club — an album written across six years of upheaval. Junkheart and Nothing Thrives join them.
By Dimitris (Bari) Polyzois
Krotalias, the Athens desert punk quintet, return to An Club to launch their third record, “Ενός Λεπτού Σιγή” — “A Minute’s Silence”.
Writing began in 2020, inside the pandemic, and finished in 2026. In between, as the band describe it, came political upheaval, open wars and the dawn of a digital age pressing ever deeper into daily life. The album is, in their words, “a moment of silence inside the noise”.
It was recorded between 2023 and 2026 at Apokato Studio, produced, engineered and mixed by Vasilis Zabikos and the band. Steve Lado handled mastering, Sofoklis Bibis shot the cover and A.D.Visions did the artwork. The record comes out on vinyl in partnership with The Lab Records.
A run of singles and videos accompanied the release — “Mia Anasa Makria”, “Enos Leptou Sigi”, “Oso Anatellei o Ilios” and “Mou Les” — with the most recent, for “Assos”, playing as a short horror film directed by Alexandros Papathanasopoulos.
Junkheart
Junkheart are a Greek-language punk-rock band formed in Athens in 2013 by members of earlier acts from the local independent scene. They have three independent vinyl releases — “Kamia Patrida” (2014), “Tragoudia tou Anemou” (2017) and “Anoixi Re” (2019) — and have just released a fourth album digitally, “Fotovolides gia panta”.
