Gemma are back with a new track titled "Δρόμοι". At the same time, they're gearing up for a big Tour in Greece, hitting 7 Greek cities.

The Gemma, after an incredibly intense summer of gigs, are leaving their special homeland Crete for a while to travel with their music around Greece, on a unique Tour through 7 Greek cities. Their brand new track «Δρόμοι», accompanied by a gorgeous video, finds them refreshed and ready to reveal their new stories to us. They draw inspiration from people, from cities, from streets, and express it through intense electronic elements via their wonderful lyrics and performances.
A band with a really interesting musical approach
The Gemma is a five-member band formed in 2017 in Rethymno, Crete. Their aesthetic is really distinctive, since they combine electronic sounds from synths with post rock elements from guitars, bass and drums, marrying traditional and modern elements, effects and loops on the vocals.
As a result, they create original compositions, as well as covers of traditional songs from the wider Greek region, balancing between traditional melodies and lyrics and contemporary melodic and rhythmic lines.
The band is gearing up for a big Greek Tour
Kicking things off on the 27/10 and the Ilion plus in Athens, Gemma are expected to perform in Thessaloniki, Xanthi, Ioannina, Larissa, Volos and Patras. Specifically:

Exploring traditional musical elements
The band's goal is to carry out an exploration of the music of our homeland, and specifically Cretan music. Throughout the whole compositional process, the familiar elements from the tradition of their particular homeland are assimilated into more contemporary music.
Creation of original compositions, but also covers (such as the traditional Rizitiko "Ο Μπέλος"), with an electronic post-rock aesthetic, synths, guitars, bass and drums. Prog & psychedelia, brainwave and dreamy melodic lines, airy vocals that preserve the Cretan dialect.
Gemma are not "just another band".
It's a journey of emotions, images and musical landscapes. Psychedelic rock sounds, tied together with the electronic post aesthetic of Gemma entirely modern, uniquely traditional and dark, provocatively rousing.
