“FAE!” — Greek for “Eat!” — returns for a second year. After a first season that found its audience, Nasia Panagopoulou's monologue continues at Apo Koinou Theatre, performed by Alexia Moustaka and directed by Tasos Fragkias.
“We are coming back to FAE! because the conversation it opened never closed,” the company note. It is a word everyone heard as a child: from a mother, a grandmother, a crowded table. FAE! is not merely a verb but a word that became a life.
Synopsis
A woman grows up with an instruction that becomes an addiction, a consolation, an interior prison. A monologue that strips the soul bare and speaks about what goes unsaid.
The production unwinds memories from the 1970s, 80s and 90s, with references to pop culture and school playgrounds. It is not simply a personal account — it is a collective experience touching on eating disorders and social prejudice.
Theatre group Pi (Pi Synergy) does not come to give answers. It comes to open space — for thought, and for recognition.
