Zumbi: New single titled '25 Fires'

A new single was presented by Zumbi. The American band presented the track titled '25 Fires', a track included on their album 'Ahead of Time’.

The band formed in Los Angeles, California. They consist of 3 members. Specifically, the group includes Dimitri Craven (vocals), Jerry Andrews (Producer/guitarist) and Jason Soto (keys/rap). The band's overall style is trip-hop / electronic, alternative music. Their tracks are generally downtempo.

They signed with New Dream Records and are making plans for a future tour. On April 30, 2021, their album 'Ahead of Time’.

On the subject matter

Zumbi's lyrics touch on themes of isolation, fear and hope. Among other things, they talk about the lack of communication, prostitution, politics, the arson attacks on black churches in the '90s, female genital mutilation in Africa, and more. In their compositions they blend alternative sound, trip-hop rhymes and charismatic presence.

This trio seems to focus on atmosphere, combining musics and eras, since we can see elements heavily and clearly influenced by the 80s and 90s, put together with effort and heart. Thus, against all commercialization, it doesn't look at the industry's pulse, but at pure love and faith in art.
