From Ukraine with love!
The Wave.X were formed in 2020 by Vitalii Karnaukh (guitar) and Hanna Demchenko (voice) in Kiev, Ukraine. A little later, Taras Zemskyi joined the band taking on bass duties. Drummer Illia Ivashkevich joined the band in 2022.
The story behind the name Wave.X takes us back to the TV series X-files, from which the band borrowed its mysterious atmosphere. Their songs revolve mainly around pain, suffering and love. The band's first single was released in February 2021. Their first gig took place in May of the same year. So far, Wave.X have released 5 singles and have played dozens of gigs in various cities across Ukraine.
After the start of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine, the band carried on with their work as usual, while actively taking part in charity concerts aimed at helping Ukraine's armed forces. As for their latest single, it's a story narrating the tough fate of a sensitive and vulnerable boy artist and a girl in love who dreams of saving him from his own personal hell.
