A band with many years of experience
The Wasted isn't a band that just started out now. Their story begins in 1981 when they were called Radon81, while they changed their name to Wasted in 1983, inspired by the eponymous track by Def Leppard. Eventually, the band split up in 1985 when the members decided to pursue different musical paths. The reunion came several years later, when in 2013, 4 of the members of the original lineup met up to play at the Metal Magic Festival of Fredericia.
After several festivals, but also lineup changes (the second original guitarist returned to the band and a few months later Claus Jepsen, the current bassist – joined the lineup, Alex Mars took over the drums and Thomas Pede on guitar), Wasted Wasted showed themselves more ready than ever! In 2019 they released 'Electrified', which was their third album and finally, in March 2022 they released 'The Haunted House‘.

An album from what is perhaps the oldest band in the Kingdom of Denmark!
"The Haunted House" is the fourth album release from the Danish old school heavy metal band. It's a new and powerful release, grounded in good old heavy metal. The band has aimed for a fuller sound, greater depth, and a lot more detail in the songwriting. All these melodies come to complement the horror stories and dark lyrics that define this album release.
Among them is “The King“, the last track of the album. This particular track is one the band composed back in 1984 and are now re-releasing with a fresh musical breath. The new members have brought new elements and new styles to the music of Wasted, something that's evident in this track, which arrives in the new millennium in the most masterful way. The sound of the album has two very strong elements. On one hand it comes across as fast and aggressive. On the other, it has a gloomy texture that makes it very dark. Either way, it's a collection of tracks with plenty of classic musical elements, interpreted from a fresh perspective.

The band is made up of:
M. Sonne – Vocal
Thomas Pede – Guitar
Jimi Hansen – Guitar
Alex Mars – Drums
C. Jepsen – Bass
The Haunted House Tracklist:
- The Haunted House
- Mr. Black
- Watch Out
- Nailed To The Cross
- Coffin Maker
- Metal Snack
- Resurrection
- Candy Cane
- Wasted Attack
- The King
In conclusion
It's obvious that this current lineup is by far the strongest and most powerful in the band's long history. The band is here and it's giving us an album with real muscle. An album that will bring back memories of the roots of good old metal. With their new lineup, they seem to have found the missing pieces of an impressive musical puzzle. And with the release of “The Haunted House“, Wasted are staking their claim as one of the toughest rock/metal bands in Denmark!
