The Silent Wedding – “N.I.B. Reimagined”: An acoustic take on Black Sabbath
The Silent Wedding release “N.I.B. Reimagined”, an acoustic reworking of the Black Sabbath classic, with kaval and bagpipes by Leonidas Thermos. A song they have carried in their live set since 2014, now officially recorded.
By Dimitris (Bari) Polyzois

The Silent Wedding have released their own version of “N.I.B.”, one of the best-known songs in the Black Sabbath catalogue, as an atmospheric acoustic reworking.
On “N.I.B. Reimagined” the arrangement moves away from the original’s electric riff. Acoustic instrumentation, and the kaval and bagpipes played by Leonidas Thermos, give the song a darker, more inward and almost ceremonial character.
The band’s history with the track goes back a decade. “N.I.B.” first entered The Silent Wedding’s live set in 2014, and over the years the cover developed on stage into something of its own. This is the first time it has been committed to a recording.
The release doubles as a tribute to Ozzy Osbourne and an acknowledgement of Black Sabbath’s influence on heavy metal.
