Simplefast, The Roofcats, Noiz Ritual, The Lazy Rebels live @ Holywood
In an impressive live show, Simplefast, The Roofcats, Noiz Ritual and The Lazy Rebels gave it their absolute best at Holywood Stage. It was one hell of a Saturday night!
By Dimitris (Bari) Polyzois

The Holywood Stage was ready to welcome Simplefast, The Roofcats, Noiz Ritual and The Lazy Rebels. The night had everything it needed to blow us away, with loud sounds and a great vibe! Through our friend and collaborator Αλέξανδρος Κολλέτης, we'll run through our most important impressions!
Lazy Rebels!
The live show was opened by The Lazy Rebels. The band from Athens took on the tough job of opening the night, and with their energy they managed to whet our appetite. Their sound was loud and rough, which makes sense given they move along broader Hardcore punk paths. Still, in this small taste we got, you can already spot serious interest both in the music and in the subject matter of the songs. We look forward to seeing more from these guys in the future.
A sound ritual!
The Noiz Ritual were formed in 2022 by John Varvas (4LT), Nick Christolis (Four Sides Of Strange, Afterblood), Ilias Dryjohn and the Mantalena Krikelli (Vegan Mosquitoes, Lost Arcadia). The band has a strong rock vibe influenced by the 90s and 00s. It's a band that played covers, and even though they're a very fresh outfit, they came across as extremely tight! The chemistry between the members carried over to the crowd too, who went wild hearing all those well-known hits!
Roofcats you'd drink straight out of the glass!
The The Roofcats were the highlight of the night! With the singer cracking jokes with the crowd and the band coming out dressed like they were headed to a bouzoukia joint, they managed to break the ice and grab the listeners' attention. Their music moves within the spectrum of Greek-language punk. The band generally seemed very at ease on stage and in their rapport with the crowd. Musically they were very tight, with good vibes.
And here too, we can say they caught our interest, and we'll be waiting to see them at future live shows, and why not, on a full-length album as well.
Simplefast: Simple and fast!

The headliners of the night gave it their all! They whipped the crowd into a frenzy and proved to us once again why they're considered one of the rising bands of Greece in the genre. Huge energy, incredible chemistry, and a sound that dares you to headbang forever! Judging them both on stage presence and musically, no one could help but be impressed.
At this particular show (it's the second time I've seen them, after the one where they opened for Silent Wedding), they mostly played tracks from their new record, titled 'Eternal'. Of course, covers weren't missing either, since they also played the Supernaut by Black Sabbath. True to their stage presence though (it's show business after all!), the two guitarists jumped off the stage and played the last song right in the middle of the crowd, whipping everyone present into a frenzy!

The Simplefast they have huge potential and are setting themselves up for a strong career ahead. They definitely deserve all our attention. Personally, I really love that bands like this come from Greece, since it shows the strength of the country's music scene. That doesn't mean, of course, that the band should be confined within Greek borders. Their music is far too powerful for just us to enjoy! So, looking forward to the next time they get us up and moving from the stage! Until then, I'll have to settle for listening to 'Eternal‘.
