Rukiye and Tylarik: New single 'Yesterday'

The two artists presented their new track titled 'Yesterday', signed by Spider Music.

A winning formula, kept alive

The song features Rukiye alongside Tylarik. This is their second collaboration after the successful single "Minneapolis Man" exactly a year ago.

The collaboration that made all the difference

A really interesting pairing of two multicultural artists. Rukiye, of Turkish descent, lives and works in Germany, and sings in 4 languages: Turkish, German, English and Greek. Tylarik lives in Houston, Texas, and is also the composer of 'Yesterday'; he was awarded in 2019 for the song 'Believe in Miracles'.

The differing elements the two singers bring are precisely what give the track its distinctive character and make it terrifically interesting. The blend of Mediterranean elements tangles together with blues elements. It could be seen as a newer evolution of the fresh blues scene. An ethnic mix of elements, which nevertheless stays true to its roots, preserving tradition.

'Yesterday' is a track with music by Tylarik and lyrics by Γιώργος Χονδραλής.

Orchestration, mixing and programming mastering were handled by Γιώργος Γιαννικόπουλος at Orange Studios.
