Overhate – 'New Beginnings Are Met': A Thrash Metal album

The quartet who became known as Overhate with Giancarlo Vettor on guitar and vocals, Oswaldo Contramaestre on guitars, Ronald Del Aguila on drums, and Samir Acosta on bass carry on exactly where they left off with their previous album "Relentless is our Strength “.

From Caracas, Venezuela, Overhate unleash an album born out of their own reality.

A reality that manages to break through borders and, more or less, manages to speak for every fan of hard sound, no matter which country they're from. A creation of an unjust and hostile environment. "New Beginnings Are Met" is an album for the band to vent their rage. At the same time it hides a faint hope, which is also reflected in the album's title.

Musically, "New Beginnings Are Met" combines thrash metal with groove metal, in a result that's explosive, full of tension and aggression. The two genres blend and mesh perfectly into a result marked by chopping riffs with dynamic groove. And of course, sharp thrash sound, speed, but also thrash swagger that runs through and shapes the heavy, groovy riffs.

Tracks with deep meaning

From the album's opening track "Realities Collide", to the last, the politically charged track "Beneath the Curse" you'll find songs born of a hostile and unjust environment. An environment in which the effort to deal with the disappointment caused by everyday circumstances has created a wellspring of inspiration for the band. Which in turn has crafted some of its strongest songs, making an album that metal fans will thoroughly enjoy.

Just as the album's title suggests a new beginning, so too the band Overhate with "New Beginnings are Met" are reborn stronger and win over the metal world with a truly noteworthy album.
