Hard and extreme sound that finds refuge on the night of Sunday, November 19, in the well-known basement of Exarcheia, the An Club (Facebook, Instagram). Okwaho, Mass Culture & Breeding The Shadows Okwaho, Mass Culture & Breeding The Shadows spew forth with fury and nerve, their muddiest, darkest, and most extreme musical feelings, mustering whatever best they've got… their thirst for creation, against fascism, against censorship and political repression. Their aim: to sing hymns to the tones of a doom / sludge / crust / post & black soundscape!

Okwaho
Okwaho Okwaho were formed in 2013. Their sound is a mix of blackened doom, sludge and post metal with socio-political and sometimes more personal lyrics. In September 2015 they recorded their first demo. In March 2018 their first, self-titled record came out, with quite a few stoner elements.
They belong to the core of the Metal Solidarity assembly, and took part in the initiative's first compilation with the track Kill All Them Fascists and in the second with The Mermaid. They're appearing at the initiative's 2nd Festival together with 9 other bands on 21/10.
This year they released The Usurper Regime, which they'll be presenting to us on Sunday, November 19 on An's stage, showing off a more extreme, sharper and more determined side of themselves. It's a lyrically fiercely politicized album, which found in black/post metal soundscapes the ideal field to express social rage and indignation against fascism, xenophobia, and repressive policies.
Breeding The Shadows
Breeding the Shadows Breeding the Shadows were formed in 2017. After experimenting and going through intense musical restlessness, the band settled into its current form in late 2019. Their sound isn't confined to specific genres, though one can easily make out Doomed Black influences, with touches of Post Metal.
In October 2020, amid the grim state brought on by the pandemic, they released their first concept album, titled "Breeding the Shadows".
The "Reproduction of Shadows" is an idea that narrates a story of lost reason. The shadow, as a metaphysical and psychological concept, can be seen as the connecting link of the self, since it protects the conscious mind from the secrets of the subconscious. The story follows the process of losing the shadow and explores the ensuing psychological collapse.
On a musical and lyrical level, the interdependent relationship between light and darkness stands as a constant point of reference, where even though one is sometimes chosen at the expense of the other, their interconnection is never severed.
Breeding the Shadows Breeding the Shadows are currently in the creative process, writing the tracks for their upcoming second record and preparing to head into the studio to record it.
Mass Culture
Mass Culture,Mass Culture, were formed in 2011 and, after some lineup changes, are now a five-piece band. Each member brings their own musical identity, but sharing common points of reference and great appreciation for the music of various bands, they decided to start a band that would move within the sounds of Post Hardcore and metal music more broadly. Having released the EP "Amoralism" in 2012 and the split with Field of Locust in 2015, in August 2018 they released their first full length album "Primal | Ephemeral", with the help of Nothing To Harvest Records and Sweetohm recordings.
In 2023 the band released its second full length record "Barren Point".
