Necromantia – "Inferno": New single from their latest album

The much-anticipated "To the Depths We Descend…", is coming, raging and blazing on October 15th. The album bears the signature of Magus Vampyr Daoloth and other well-known Greek artists of the scene. The band unveiled the album's first single track, titled 'Inferno‘.

A few words about the band

Necromantia Necromantia is a black metal band from Greece founded in 1989 in Athens by Γιώργος "The Magus" Ζαχαρόπουλος (previously also known as "Magus Wampyr Daoloth", as well as "Morbid" when working with Rotting Christ) on bass/vocals and Μάκης "Baron Blood" on 8-string bass. Alongside Rotting Christ and Varathron, they're considered pioneers in the creation of the Greek black metal scene in the early 1990s.

The band is known for the absence of rhythm guitar in its music, which is replaced by 8-string bass. Another notable feature of Necromatina, is the frequent use of instruments not usually associated with black metal, such as saxophone and flute.

A few of Necromantia's notable works:

Scarlet Evil Witching Black (Osmose, 1995)

Crossing the Fiery Path (Osmose, 1993)

Ancient Pride (Osmose, 1997)

3. Give the Devil his Due
4. Inferno
