Lordi: New single titled 'Abracadaver'

Lordi have announced a new single track. The song titled 'Abracadaver' will be part of the band's 7th studio album, set for release.

The Lordi never stop surprising us! From far-off Scandinavia, specifically Finland (and after the announcement of the upcoming release of seven new studio albums), the band announced a new single track. The song titled 'Abracadaver' will be part of these upcoming albums. All of the records will bear the label of the German AFM Records.

The material was created during quarantine

According to the band's frontman, Mr. Lordi, quarantine turned out to be an excellent opportunity for new creations: "Within a week, when the" Killectour was cut short in March 2020, I realized we'd have to use the extra time somehow. It was clear that it was time to start planning the new album, even though 'Killection' hadn't even been out for two months. I was thinking that the most boring thing we could do after 'Killection' would be yet another typical Lordi album. I really enjoyed the different style of songwriting, recording and production on 'Killection', but doing a part two would be a boring idea.

It's a wonderful album from a fantastic, hidden catalogue of our songs. So I got the idea that the only thing that could top it would be to record and release this hidden catalogue. And by Halloween 2021 this catalogue will no longer be imaginary, it will actually exist… at least for the most part. My original idea was to release 10 albums, but the record label said I was crazy. But seven is a number they felt was a bit more reasonable!'

So, for the 11th studio album by Lordi, we're not just getting one new album, we're getting the 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th and 17th albums all at once. What other rock band has ever done that? The answer is none other than… NOBODY!
