A new instrumental post-rock/metal single track was presented by Katre. The band, based in Berlin, released the song titled ‘So was the Life’, which will be included on their upcoming album ‘Behind The Resilience’. The band got started with their debut album ‘Encounters’, which was released in 2017 via Fluttery Records. ‘Behind the Resilience’ is the band's second studio album and tells the story of migrants. The record will be available on all digital platforms from September 30, 2021.
Songs that tell stories
The band's name comes from the Arabic word katre, meaning ‘drop’. Katre formed in 2014. A special and distinctive aspect of Katre is that they tell stories through their songs and create concept albums. Their debut album Encountersfocuses on the concept of existence, that is, conception and birth, growth and self-awareness. Encounters received a very warm reception from the broader Rock scene and entered the #9 spot on iTunes and the Top 200 Releases on Turkey's Rock Chart.

Behind the Resilience: For the refugees
Their new record focuses on a contemporary issue. Due to civil wars, global warming, political persecution and hunger, the number of people seeking safety is increasing day by day. The latest reports show that as of 2021 refugees make up almost 1% of the global population. Behind the Resilience, the band's 2nd studio album deals with exactly this issue, telling the story of migrants. Specifically, the songs focus on the various phases of the refugee experience, such as this family's life before the war, the outbreak of events, the escape, the challenges on the way to Europe, the feeling of being unwanted, and the efforts to adjust to a new life.
The production of Behind the Resilience was done by Chris Edrich (Gojira, Tesseract, The Ocean, Klone, Leprous) and the album will be available in digital form on digital platforms on September 30, 2021.
