Among the many artists was the well-known pop performer, Justin Timberlake.
The artist specifically stated that he was "deeply honoured". Both for his participation, and for his collaboration with Ant Clemons on "Better Days", during the special celebratory event.
The singer wrote a tweet about the song's inspired debut during the primary party. In it, he referenced his desire to heal and bring together a nation broken by a deadly pandemic and the toxic division sown by the previous administration.
"Today we all watched @joebiden and @kamalaharris take office – and make history. Tonight, @antclemons and I feel deeply honoured to perform our new song, 'Better Days'. This will happen as a celebration of everything this administration represents. It's also a reminder to keep watching the road ahead. We have a lot of work to do, but I feel very hopeful right now.", Timberlake wrote.

In it, he referenced his desire to heal and bring together a nation broken by a deadly pandemic and the toxic division sown by the previous administration.
"A big thank you to my friends, students and alumni at @staxmusicacademy for your performance in Memphis. This is a very special place for me. It has nurtured the next generation of great artists.", added Justin Timberlake. "And if we've learned anything this year, it's that this new generation of voices is strong and vital to creating the change we need. I hope you all enjoy the show. I also hope this song brings a little bit of joy as we move forward."
Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Clemons and 10-time Grammy winner Timberlake brought their emotional optimism to the Celebrating America concert. Following Biden's inauguration as the 46th President of the USA, they joined an all-star roster of artists celebrating the day. These included Bruce Springsteen, Jon Bon Jovi, Demi Lovato, Katy Perry, Tim McGraw & Tyler Hubbard, John Legend, Ozuna & Luis Fonsi, Black Pumas and Foo Fighters.
Timberlake and Clemons began their performance inside the Stax building. Then, they went out into the streets, where they were joined by a socially distanced band and a gospel choir.
