The instrument will have a one-piece maple neck and custom pickups from Seymour Duncan.
The guitar was designed in collaboration with Smith, who described the instrument as "A lifelong dream come true."
"There was joy in every step and I couldn't help but be proud of this guitar," he wrote in an Instagram post. "Every corner of this guitar is perfect. This guitar was built with great care. They let me do whatever I wanted."

The FlatV1 is made in Japan and incorporates a number of Ibanez innovations. The one-piece roasted maple neck features a special S-Tech roasting method, said to improve attack, balance and sustain. For added comfort in gripping the neck, the edge of the fretboard also has a smooth curve.
The Soft-V neck shape also offers a vintage feel with the roundness and comfort of a modern neck. This lets you approach the instrument with either an over or under thumb method. It has a 25.5" scale and a 250 mm (about 9.8 inch) fretboard radius.
The ash guitar also comes loaded with Smith's custom single coil set from Seymour Duncan. These include a slightly warmer neck pickup and a punchier bridge pickup. Both with Alnico. There's also a single pot for volume and tone control, as well as a three-way switch.
The FlatV1's hardware is made by Gotoh. There's also an ergonomically curved control plate and side Luminlay dots.
