Modern Collection ES-335 Satin
Gibson has added the ES-335 Satin with perloid dot inlays to its Modern collection. This guitar – built at the brand's factory in Nashville – features a semi-hollow, triple-ply maple and poplar body. The neck is mahogany and the fingerboard is rosewood. It also has a maple centre block.
The rounded C-profile neck, combined with 22 medium jumbo frets, gives players a traditional 50s feel. Meanwhile, the guitar's Calibrated T-Type humbuckers follow in the footsteps of the corresponding 1970s T-Tops with Alnico V.

The ES-335 Satin comes with a trio of thin satin nitro finishes, including Cherry, Vintage Burst and Vintage Natural [pictured above] colours. Each comes in a hard case and sells for $2,599.
Modern Collection ES-339 and ES-339 Figured
The Modern Collection ES-339 comes in figured and non-figured varieties – the former with an AAA-grade maple veneer. Apart from that, the guitars are identical. Both feature the handmade quality of Gibson's Nashville factory and have a three-ply maple/poplar body with a maple centre block. The rounded mahogany C-neck is topped with a rosewood fingerboard featuring 22 medium jumbo frets and acrylic dot inlays.
As for the humbuckers, there's a 57 Classic at the neck and a 57 Classic+ at the bridge. These are paired with 500K potentiometers and orange drop capacitors.

The ES-339 Figured is priced at $2,999 and comes in either Sixties Cherry or Blueberry Burst [pictured above]. Meanwhile, the non-figured version will set you back $2,999 and comes in Cherry or Trans Black. Both ship in a hard case.
Original Collection Non-Reverse Thunderbird Bass
Gibson has also announced the Non-Reverse Thunderbird Bass, joining the Original instrument line. Although details about the new bass are scarce, we do know it has a long-scale 34-inch set neck and comes in three finishes: Inverness Green, Sparkling Burgundy and Pelham Blue.
