The Desert Near The End return with a new single and a new album. After the album ‘Of Fire and Stars’, the band unveiled the track ‘Iron Rain', which is included on their album, 'The Dawning of the Son‘.
Their fifth studio release
The Desert Near the End returned with their fifth studio effort in a row, the album "The Dawning of the Son", which was released on May 27 by the German record label Boersma Records (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter). This is yet another concept album! Lyrically it's based on the first trilogy by Pierce Brown, "Red Rising Saga". Musically it follows more melodic paths while still retaining the sharpness and aggressiveness of its predecessors.
The Desert Near the End guys themselves call their style Power/Thrash Metal, and indeed that's not far from the truth. The band borrows as influences, on one hand, the best moments of Iced Earth and Nevermore and on the other hand of Kreator and Testament, tying them together in a fitting way and presenting them through his own personal and solid sonic envelope. This results in an excellent mix of Heavy/Power and Thrash.
