An outstanding EP was delivered by Death Dweller! The artist, known in the real world as Dimitris Hatzistamatis, presented the album ‘Born Of Stars‘. Among the trio of tracks is also the single ‘Torment’.
This first work by Death Dweller was released on all electronic music platforms (you can find the links at the end of the article) on December 9, 2021. The project's style leans into extreme metal. With influences from melodeath acts such as In Flames, Soilwork, Disarmonia Mundi, as well as from Annihilator, Blind Guardian and Dream Theater.
The Δημήτρης Χατζησταμάτης is a music producer, sound engineer and guitarist based in Athens, running his own studio at Hive Music Productions. He's worked as a producer across various musical genres, with his main reference points in metal and rock being the heavy metal outfit Wildfire as well as post rockers Astral Jackal.
About the music
The tracks on 'Born Of Stars' pack a serious punch. Already from 'Torment' we could pick out plenty of melodicism, even though the overall vibe is pretty distorted. The vocals are growly, as befits the Death Metal style. Δημήτρης Χατζησταμάτης makes a powerful start to his solo career with this work, and at the same time shows us exactly what musical stuff he's made of! 'Born of Stars'Born of Stars' gives us a lovely taste of what's to come from Dweller in the future!
