It follows the ΟΜ1JL, Lage's first signature model.

The body is made from a maple top, complemented by solid Honduran mahogany on the back and sides, bound in non-grained ivoroid. Glued to the body is its mahogany neck. It's carved into a custom hybrid C/V profile aiming for a comfortable 21.6 mm radius at the 1st fret and 24.3 mm radius at the 9th.
The 470JL features an ebony fretboard with a 12" radius, 22 medium 18% nickel-silver frets and a graduated mother-of-pearl inlay. It has a Delrin nut – just like the picks for your guitar – and a tune-o-matic bridge with ebony pin, nylon saddles and Bigsby B3 vibrato.

A pair of adjustable Ron Ellis pickups were developed for the guitar. In the video above, Lage talks about his love for old DeArmond Dynasonics and the tones from the foundational era of the electric guitar. The pickups were critical and inspired the rest of the guitar's design.
The resulting Ellisonics are wound to offer the clarity and detail of vintage single-coils. Pickup output is controlled by one master volume control and two tone controls. The instrument also features a three-way selector switch mounted on top.
Finally, there are aged-nickel Waverly tuners (16:1 ratio) with vintage oval buttons and an ebony veneer on the headstock. You can choose between three finishes: Antiqued Sunburst, Antiqued Black and Antiqued Blonde. All are coated with glossy nitro.
