Celestial Wizard: The guitar walkthrough video for Revenant has been released

The Celestial Wizard from Denver are cooking up their own brand of power and death metal, with an emphasis on tight, tasty riffs. In their latest video, they play the single "Revenant" and showcase the precision hiding behind them. The song is the first complete track from their latest album "Winds Of The Cosmos", and the driving riffs carry on the momentum of the previous track.

The triple rhythm of the guitars and drums gives the song a galloping, energetic feel. The song's lyrics revolve around immortality and the loneliness and anger that comes with living forever. The track is a step in a new direction compared to the previous album, since it mainly features singing, instead of the characteristic death metal vocal styles.

'We all take on lyricist duties.'

'Guillermo and I have a bunch of riffs, sometimes rough drafts of complete songs, stored in our respective DAWs. We go through everything and find the riffs we think are strong/unique and start composing the song structures. Once we have the first drafts, we send them to Tim for revisions.'

'Tim has a good ear for the rhythm and flow of a song and helps us adjust what we have. After the revisions, we start working on the lyrics. We all take on lyricist duties, with Amethyst and me handling the majority of the lyrics. From there we rehearse the songs as a band until they're strong enough to present or record, fixing things as needed.'

The Celestial Wizard deliver an energetic and thrilling performance, while keeping the sound tight. Even in the playthrough video, the passion and fire are evident. Their goal is to maintain this dynamic in all their live shows, they try to entertain the fans and bring their songs to life. Armed with a fresh album, a powerful sound and excellent musicianship, the Celestial Wizard are ready to bring their music to their fans all over the world. Highly recommended for fans of Galaktikon, Dark Tranquillity and Firewind.
