Bergfried – ‘Romantik I’: Romantic, medieval metal
Heavy metal meets medieval, melodic, romantic music. The result is the new EP by Bergfried, titled ‘Romantik I’. When heavy metal experienced its global boom in the mid-1980s, countless bands emerged.

Many of them tried to combine the medieval element with the heavy sound of this genre. Among them were Bergfried, who have released their new EP titled 'Romantik I‘.
Important collaborations created this EP
The multi-instrumentalist and jack-of-all-trades Erech Leleth collaborated with the excellent singer Anna de Savoy for this EP. In Bergfried he even performs under the noble title of Erech III of Lorraine! The powerful, debut EP "Romantik I" contains four choice tracks that couldn't be more original, atmospheric, gripping and worth listening to. The songs manage to unfurl, within mere seconds, a very much their own, distinctly elegant romantic, medieval metal charm.
For lovers of focused medieval, aristocratic and romantic-to-nostalgic vocal material, the debut release by Bergfried has all the ingredients to sweep you away. Who could seriously resist the irresistible magic of a thoroughly joyful super-composition like "The Battle"? Old knights are guaranteed to sway along happily! For our part, we'll crank up the volume and savor these excellent compositions.
