All Depraved introduce themselves to us. The metallers from Austria have unveiled their first 4 singles, among them 'Face The Fear'.
The All Depraved are anything but ordinary. Two Metalheads, living on a farm in the Austrian Alps, hammer their guitars and vocal cords from dusk till dawn. Their music is loaded with Killer Riffs, thunderous drums and lyrics from the Abyss of their soul. The band released a series of 4 singles, among them the impressive ‘Face The Fear‘.
Their songs hit like rocks musically, but they always carry a deeper meaning lyrically. On their latest single “Don’t Care What’s Wrong Or Right” the guys from Carinthia want to raise awareness about the issue of “bullying”. Whether it’s from the perspective of the perpetrator or the victim, it’s never too late to stand up and take responsibility.
Makes Me Blind And Insecure
The first single is “Makes Me Blind And Insecure". Released on 02 May 2021. The track has a strong message in the lyrics. It refers to the effort everyone around us makes to cut us off from the truth. In this way, and by blinding us, they make us feel insecure. The band urges us to never let that happen.
Musically the track is fast and rhythmic. It's not the typical Death Metal track one would expect. The melodies stand out while at the same time there aren't many growly vocals. It's a song with really nice sounds that whets our appetite for what's coming next!
In this song/music video appeared Adrian Erlandsson (drummer of At The Gates, Paradise Lost, Cradle of Filth).
Face The Fear
The second single was 'Face The Fear', which was released on 16 July 2021. Like all the tracks by All Depraved and this particular one comes with the urging to never back down. Not even when we look absolute fear in the eyes.
One of the most impressive elements of the track is its shifts. The band moves from heavy sound, to epic solos, all the way to points that are completely 'clean'. Rhythmically it moves in every possible direction, creating a labyrinth that impresses! It was definitely the track that grabbed me the most out of the four. Special attention should be paid to the solo, which seems to be written straight out of the most classic metal riffs!
Escape From Despair
Continuing with 'Escape From Despair', a track released on October 1st, 2021. With a very topical theme, the track deals with domestic violence. It's accompanied by a very graphic video, which depicts the violence a woman suffers. It closes with the call never to turn a blind eye in the face of this kind of situation. It's definitely a very powerful track, one that describes the reality we all live in.
Given its subject matter, the track couldn't possibly be calm and relaxed. Full of growly vocals and a fast tempo, it shows off an aggressive pattern that it moves along.
Don't Care What's Wrong Or Right
The latest single from All Depraved is titled Don't Care What's Wrong Or Right. It was released on December 24th, 2021. Its goal is to eliminate the phenomenon of bullying, while it also speaks to potential victims as well as perpetrators. And this makes for a track that's very dynamic in sound and rhythm, one that's sure to wake you up.
'Time for change
Time for truth'
All Depraved are made up of:

A band that left us with the best impressions
The All Depraved with this quartet of tracks leave us with the best impressions. All four tracks have very beautiful musical elements, while also carrying thematic depth. The band's wish is to deal with everyday issues. Issues that we live through in society. Not simply to create tracks for entertainment. Wrapping up, I'd like to stress that sonically, and in the way they structure their tracks, they remind me a lot of Trivium! However, they also have plenty of unique elements that make them stand out. We're eagerly waiting for their first full album.
