Album Review: "Sex Via Zivania" – Zivanished
Zivanished present their album titled 'Sex Via Zivania', a collection of metal tracks that will impress you and get stuck in your head!
By Dimitris (Bari) Polyzois

"Sex Via Zivania" is the new EP from Zivanished, a quirky Metal outfit from Cyprus which, as the Zivanished themselves have stated, play Cypriot Metal. Their goal is to create extreme, fast and aggressive music with subversive and humorous lyrics.
A combination of thrash/hardcore/punk with Greek and Middle Eastern influences
All of this is accompanied by screams and growls in the Cypriot dialect. It all started with the Sirimis brothers, Louis (guitar, vocals) and Konstantinos (drums). Initially, the track «Sto Choron» was recorded, along with «O Kafkas». In 2015, after many lineup changes, Miguel (bass) joined the band. The production of the music and all the recordings were done at Louis's studio, Syren Blast.

The EP "Sex Via Zivania" gives us a taste of the band's style
Starting off with a bang with "Skrush Skull Violence" is a fast, aggressive Thrash Metal track influenced by both the European and domestic Metal scenes. "Sex Via Zivania" is dedicated to lovers of Punk music, with subversive lyrics, a melodic solo and a live-show section that marks the start of the wall of death.
"O Ios Tis Poytanas" is a nightmarish Death/Black Metal song with nods to the Greek Black scene, fast, with aggressive blast beats and brutal vocals on the refrains. What happens when Vasilis Karras and Metal meet? We found out in Zivanished's amazing cover of Zivanished. The combination of clean and brutal vocals, blast beats and pop melodies on the bass, together with the Cypriot dialect, take the track to another level.
"Sex Via Zivania" is a very interesting piece of work that will grab listeners' attention from the very first notes. The Ζivanished , with their use of the Cypriot dialect, elements from various Metal subgenres and a really good production, captivate the listener, who literally can't stop listening to the EP on loop. We can't wait to hear their second full-length work, which will surely blow us away too.
