20 Years of Meden Agan: Fuzzy Hound was at the party celebrating 20 years on the metal scene and brings you the vibe straight from Piraeus Academy.

Saturday, January 10th 2026, and Piraeus Academy (Facebook, Instagram) was packed for the long-awaited party… 20 Years of Meden Agan! The metal band from Greece blew out 20 candles (!) and celebrated it with an outstanding night of music. Joining them on stage were The Silent Wedding and Senses. Λαγωνικό was there in the crowd and is happy to bring you the vibe and the highlights of the night…
Senses, who set all our… senses in motion!
The first time I see a band up close is always something special for me… On Saturday night I had my first live experience with the music of Senses! Having listened to their latest record, titled Out Of The Line, I had some idea of what to expect. At the same time, that style, which leans quite a bit towards old school glam rock / metal, is one of my favourites. So I was pretty impatient to see them up close. An impatience that paid off, since the performance I watched was one of the strongest I've seen lately…
The Senses are an excellent band, very properly put together and with compositions that are truly beautiful (to my ears, at least)! Listening to the songs, you get a sense of familiarity. You feel like you've felt these songs before. And that's a big achievement for new compositions, since they stick with you straight away! With outstanding stage presence, killer playing, and a voice with serious dynamic range, Senses can be considered a rising force and they'll definitely be on our radar in the future. For my part, I can say the band gained one more fan of their music in me.
A Secret Wedding in the Sea of Fate!
With the crowd thoroughly warmed up, it was time for the atmospheric The Silent Wedding! The metal band from Athens is known throughout the music scene for the energy they generate at their live shows! The Meden Agan party was no exception, since the Silent took the stage and absolutely tore the place apart with their performance! A mix of tracks from the now musically mature 'Ego Path', as well as from their previous records, kept us company for about an hour. Their stage presence is hugely exuberant and the decision to add backing vocals lends excellent musical dimensions to their live appearances.
Listening to Silent, one thing kept going through my mind… The band is currently in the best possible shape it could be, both musically and compositionally. The lyrics and the melodies come across as quality work with a formidable foundation behind them. All while their live shows carry the same musical quality as their record. Add to that their liveliness and stage presence, and the end result is capable of winning over even the most demanding musical taste.
20 Years of Meden Agan: 20 candles full of wonderful moments
As the night moved on to its main course, the celebrants Meden Agan took the stage to celebrate 20 years of musical journey. For me personally, the band was no tabula rasa, given that I had caught some of their shows in the past. Saturday night, though, was something special. Both because there was a celebration in the middle of it, and because the band had undergone a major line-up change in the vocals department. The band's front woman of many years handed over her place to a new presence, the latter having the significant task of leading Meden Agan into a new era.
Judging from this first appearance, all signs point positive! The band appears not only to have kept the way it plays live and its stage presence unchanged, but to have maintained it at the same level, if not strengthened it. On stage all the members were focused on delivering the songs musically, while at the same time their stage presence and ease made you feel that nothing had changed. Musically it was business as usual! A playlist mixing tracks from all of the band's albums, covers and quite a few guest appearances on stage created the feeling of an outstanding musical party.
All of this contributed to a wonderful night and left us eagerly anticipating the future. Meden Agan are entering a new era and their 21st year of existence raises high expectations. The only certainty is that as long as they keep producing music of such quality, they'll keep making us look forward to seeing them up close!
