By Dimitris (Bari) Polyzois

The guitarist of Project Renegade, Philipp Lykostratis (Φίλιππος Λυκοστράτης), presents us with part of his personal music project with the track Kerveros. The song is a very interesting approach, characterised by the talented musician's musical style.
Kerberos: An impressive mythological creature
Influenced by the mythological guardian of the Underworld, Kerveros is a very dynamic track that will impress you from the very first seconds. It's built to grab you by the throat and get you moving to its rhythm. Sound-wise, the guitars and bass have a heavy tone, without ever turning to mush at any point. Every note comes through perfectly clear to the listener, which makes you feel every musical 'phrase' the musicians want to give us. At the same time, the drums are impressive. They bring plenty of dynamics and, together with the guitars, offer an excellent musical backdrop for the track.
One of the most impressive features of the track is the balance it strikes between harsh sound and atmosphere. Listening to the track, it's easy to notice that beyond the parts of high intensity, there are sections that are very melodic and calm. In those particular moments, the atmosphere reaches its zenith! Continuing on, the track comes back even more dynamically. Finally, the use of very well-targeted vocals gives the song a darker, more ominous character.

A creation that looks its foreign counterparts straight in the eye
The Kerveros is a track with very modern elements. Its intense progressive character puts it in a musical category where giants roam. In the end, the track by Philipp Lykostratis manages not only to look them in the eye, but to go toe-to-toe with them, showing that the music scene in Greece has plenty of different facets. Even though this was Philippos' first work for his personal project, he managed to pique our curiosity and whet our appetite for the future. From now on Kerveros, but also the tracks to come that we hope will follow, are on the Hound's radar! We're waiting eagerly!
